Makram Azar
London
Makram Azar joined KKR in 2008. He is head of KKR's Middle East and North Africa operations and is based in Dubai. Mr. Azar's role includes sourcing opportunities for infrastructure and private equity investments in these regions. He spent 18 years at Lehman Brothers most recently as Managing Director, Global Head of Sovereign Wealth Funds and Chairman of Media Investment Banking for Europe and the Middle East, based in Dubai. He holds a Master's Degree in Management and Finance from the Ecole des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (HEC) in Paris and a B.A. in Applied Economics from the University Paris-IX Dauphine.
Joseph Y. Bae

Joseph Y. Bae joined KKR in 1996 and is the Managing Partner of KKR Asia and member of the firm's Management Committee. During his tenure with KKR he has played a significant role in the investments in BIS Cleanaway, Borden, Elmers, Inc., MMI, PanAmSat, PRIMEDIA, Regal Cinemas, Seven, Shoppers Drug Mart, Visant, World Color Press and Yellow Pages Group. Currently, he is on the board of directors of BIS Industries, MMI, Unisteel, Seven, and Oriental Brewery. Mr. Bae, who had been located in the New York office, moved to Hong Kong in late 2005 to establish KKR's Asian operations. Prior to KKR, Mr. Bae worked for Goldman, Sachs & Co. in its Principal Investment Area, where he was involved in a broad range of merchant banking transactions. He has a B.A., magna cum laude, from Harvard College.
Justin Reizes
Sydney
Justin Reizes joined KKR's London office in 1999. In Europe, he focused mainly on the Media, Communications and the Financial Services industries. Mr. Reizes moved to Hong Kong in late 2005, then Tokyo in July 2006 and then Sydney in the beginning of 2008. Since moving to Asia, he has been actively involved in developing KKR's Asian operations. Mr. Reizes has played a role in the investments in Tenovis, Maxeda (formerly Vendex KBB), BIS and Seven Media Group. He is currently on the board of directors of BIS and Seven Media Group. Prior to KKR, Mr. Reizes was involved in the private equity investments area of Morgan Stanley (Morgan Stanley Capital Partners) in London. From 1996 to 1998, he was in the investment banking division of Morgan Stanley, where he was involved in a number of mergers, acquisitions, and financings. He holds a B.S., summa cum laude (Engineering Alumni Association Award), and a B.A., summa cum laude (Herb Pittman Award), from Rice University.
